I had played the “DOCTOR” card through so many high-end specialties pleading for answers to why my “head felt too heavy for my neck to hold up”, that seeking help from my local Chiropractor seemed fruitless. But my chronic headaches were consuming my life. My husband printed out 3 pages of BCBS-Anthem approved Chiropractors in our area. One Testimonial did not over-sell another.
I just picked one, Dr. Ryan Smith with Advanced Chiropractic in Peru IL. Little did I know that my whole life would be transformed with that decision. I self-proclaim that I was probably rudely skeptical. After all, top named Neurologists from Peoria couldn’t help me, what was a Chiropractor from Peru going to do for me. Just one more “DOCTOR” card.
My first visit consisted of medical history and spinal x-rays, typical first visit. I inquired about a pillow that would aide in relieving the weight of my head from my neck. Dr Ryan introduced me to the Chiroflow Professional Premium Waterbase Pillow. From the first night to this date, I finally have had a restful sleep. I have tossed the Bamboo, special shaped, memory pillows off the bed and only have my Waterbase Pillow. Okay, so the hometown Chiropractor knows his pillows, KUDOS.
My second visit was, surprisingly, within the same week. Dr. Ryan explained in full detail and in plain view, what my x-rays reveled AND stated that he thought that he could help me. He performed painless adjustments that took what seemed like 45 seconds. I thanked him and went home. But that evening I noticed something atypical ….. no headache.
I had awoken the next morning with no headache. Could it be possible that my local Chiropractor did what so many other doctors could not achieve? He had warned me about “muscle memory” and how it is important to follow a regime of adjustments or “muscle memory” would try to kick in and go back to its mis-aligned state. I felt ill and called off an appointment and the Chronic pain revved its ugly head. An adjustment the next day had me pain free again by evening.
Now this testimony is fine within itself. It tells MY story. But today in the waiting room I learned of another testimony that had “sealed the deal” on my choice of Chiropractors. I spoke with a young man suffering from Asthma, who has had 3 lung surgeries and drives 3 hours to see Dr. Ryan. Because after he had played all of his “DOCTOR” cards, Dr Ryan Smith was the last doctor he needed to see to finally gain relief and start living a painfree lifestyle.
