I haven't seen Dr. Bodnar in a while. I called to make an appointment, I informed the office that I could not more my right arm and I had loss felling in two of fingers and the other 3 were numb and the pain was so bad had to take oxy. I also said I could barely move my hand. I was told that I had to come in on new patient day which was in 3 days even though my 1st visit to him was well over 15 years ago. I found out quickly this is more of a business rather than patient care for his current patents. I called another Dr. I have only seen twice, she told me to come in and she stayed and worked me in at the end of the day. she worked on me for almost 2 hours. when she was done I could move my arm and hand and the feeling was coming back. She was as happy about helping me as I was about being out of the pain and having the use of my arm and hand back. If only this Doctors office had care as much. When I called to cancel my appointment and told the receptionist about what happened she had called back to apologize. But this is the difference between a medical practice and medical business

Dr. Bodnar has helped my health improve in all areas. I am so glad that I discovered Bodnar Chiropractic. I would give 5 stars, but for some reason Facebook is not showing me a menu for star ratings.

Dr Bodnar is a wonderful doctor and a terrific person. His staff is very accommodating too. They take insurance as well so my appointments are usually just my $15 co-pay. I always feel much better when I leave their office.

Dr. Bodnar and Dr. Brown are my two fave guys when it comes to treating back pain. I've been seeing Dr. Bodnar for many many years and recently switched over to Dr. Brown because of an auto accident last January. They have given my back and hips no quarter when getting them back in shape. I highly recommend either one of them.

This is a very professional and friendly place. I have received chiropractic care from both doctors multiple times. They both have a slightly different method but both work for me. I have also tried acupuncture there for the first time. Casey is wonderful! She really takes the time and does a great job. My pain was gone for the first time in two years after just one appointment with her. I have had two now. She is out of network for my insurance or I would keep seeing her.

Everyone at the Bodnar center is always so friendly and welcoming. I go there for Acupuncture weekly with Robert and it's been so helpful! I was really nervous at first but Robert was very patient and reassuring and I've found it to be very relaxing now. Not only that, but you can tell Robert genuinely cares about his patients and always has new, insightful information on questions I ask. Not only do I receive acupuncture from him, but he's taught me many breathing techniques and information on how I can control my body. He has so much knowledge to share. Very satisfied with the whole experience!

  • Dr. Bodnar does not work Friday afternoons

I'm a fairly large man, aboot 255lbs and I've had a hard time finding someone who could move my back. It's just tough for someone 140lbs to get me to adjust. I tried two other chiropractors and we didn't have any success. I found Dr Bodnar through the internet and saw they took my insurance. Dr. Bodnar was able to adjust my back, and do it better than any other chiro's I've seen in the past. I'd highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a move the bone chiropractor.

From Our Website

Our goal at Bodnar Chiropractic Center in Alexandria, VA is to put health back into health care. We do this, not by treating the disease, but by treating the person as a whole. We look for the cause of a symptom, not the effect, so we can remove interference and let the body function as it was designed. We accomplish this by not covering up effects (pain) with drugs or surgery, as much of modern medicine does. Instead, we strive to provide a holistic approach to health and wellness in a friendly and professional atmosphere while using the most up to date and effective methods in the chiropractic profession.

Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Bodnar Chiropractic Center emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could. This is one of the main reasons for the big surge in the popularity of our wellness center. For some, Bodnar Chiropractic Center will take them back to a place that is cozy and familiar, offering a rediscovery of health and wellness that had been previously known but long lost.

There are two main kinds of migraine headaches, namely common migraine that accounts for approximately eighty percent of cases, and classic migraine which is always accompanied by an aura involving the sensory system. Migraine treatment could be as simple as visiting our Chiropractic Center, and working in partnership with us to identify the likely causes of your attack, so that we can commence effective treatment. The American Chiropractic Association offers a number of valuable health and wellness tips.

Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.

Continually wearing the wrong items, such as a heavy backpack or bag on one shoulder, can cause injury to your health. You probably wouldn't connect getting ill with what you wear, but perhaps you should. When it comes to being healthy, you probably don't give your clothes or accessories a second thought. The reality is that what you wear or carry could play a crucial role in your health, even making you ill if you continually wear the wrong items, such as a heavy backpack or bag. Clothing fit is also an important consideration for health.

The medical disorder known as Fibromyalgia is an often-misunderstood and even undetected condition that results in widespread muscle pain and tenderness, but tends to appear and then disappear again. And, it travels around the body with fatigue and sleep disturbances as its common accomplices too. Cognitive and memory problems are often evident as well, as are physical stiffness and depression and anxiety. This is a good question and it's not one that we have a definitive answer for. The causes are different between sufferers, but we also believe that some people carry genes that predispose that person to developing Fibromyalgia.

Put simply, carpal tunnel syndrome is a repetitive stress injury to the wrist. As chiropractors we have no difficulty in diagnosing the problem, and then providing effective carpal tunnel treatment for it. The "culprit" is frequently repeated actions, usually in the wrong posture too while working. In time it can manifest as severe pain, for example in your right wrist if you are right-handed. CTS takes its name from the wrist bones (carpals) which form a tunnel through which the median nerve travels from the forearm to the hand.
