Avoid this place. It's an assembly line operation. You don't even meet the doctor for your initial consult. He will talk to you on the phone ONCE and that's it. Then it's just a rotating series of different therapists each time you visit. They need to also update their customer relationship management technology. How hard will it be to send an email reminder or texts? To have an online appointment system? But not, it's just writing on scraps of paper and calling you, that's it. Avoid.

Great people, especially my PT, Carlo Perez I had a great series of treatments, and got my shoulder back nearly 100%! At 61, with chronic arthritis, that's better than I've had in a decade!

This review is for the office on Wilshire. Unprofessional, small, cramped and crowded. Polite but untrained. You always feel like you are being squeezed in for an appointment. Sessions last from 15 mins to 25 minutes depending on how long you've waited in the lobby. That's your time. Many times you will have to pay for parking because you spent all your time in the lobby waiting to be seen.

There is no consistency in the treatment. You get a different person every time and you have to explain all over again what happened to you then they offer you opposite advice from the previous physical therapist you saw. I'm just trying to walk again.

This has been one of the worst experiences I've had in any type of health care. Ilya Kaminsky and his front desk staff are disorganized and unprofessional, and as many reviewers have mentioned, the office and physical therapy spaces are dirty and unkempt. Comparing their website description of how this office functions with reality is almost comical, keystone cops style. DETAILS: My insurance chose this office.

In less than a week, Ilya Kaminsky and his team have now cancelled the first appointment without contacting me (I learned that after I arrived) & then changed the date of the third appointment without contacting me (which I also learned after the fact). When I arrived for the first appointment, front desk staff gave me the standard paperwork to fill out.

After returning it & sitting in the waiting room for 20+ minutes, I checked with the front desk. They were confused & asked me to go back to the waiting room. About 10 minutes later, I was brought to Ilya Kaminsky's empty office for very brief, rushed phone call with him. It was clear that this 3-4 minute call had been hastily arranged. At no time did the staff provide any explanation of what was going on.

Without seeing me in person, Ilya quickly had a diagnosis that he said he was sure of. The staff led me back out to the waiting room, saying nothing further. After another 10+ minutes, I mentioned I'd been there for an hour and still hadn't seen a physical therapist. Again, the front desk staff were confused. After a minute, they scheduled two more appointments, handed me an appointment card for those appointments and that was it - no explanation provided. KAMINSKY PT WEBSITE: The first item in the FAQ section of the Kaminsky PT website is titled "What happens during my first visit?" and states the following (https://doctorkaminsky.com/faq/): "During your first visit you can expect the following: --Arrive at your appointment with your paperwork completed (you can download it from our website - see the paperwork or forms link). --You will provide us with your referral for physical therapy if you have one.

If you don't have a referral, let us know when you schedule your first visit with us (note - a referral is not always needed). --We will copy your insurance card. --You will be seen for the initial evaluation by the therapist. The therapist will discuss the following: --Your medical history. --Your current problems/complaints. --Pain intensity, what aggravates & eases the problem. --How this is impacting your daily activities or your functional limitations. --Your goals with physical therapy. --Medications, tests, and procedures related to your health.

The therapist will then perform the objective evaluation which may include some of the following: --Palpation - touching around the area of the pain/problem. This is done to check for the presence of tenderness, swelling, soft tissue integrity, tissue temperature, inflammation, etc. --Range of Motion (ROM) - the therapist will move the joint(s) to check for the quality of movement & any restrictions. --Muscle Testing - the therapist may check for strength & the quality of the muscle contraction.

Pain & weakness may be noted. Often the muscle strength is graded. This is also part of a neurological screening. --Neurological Screening - the therapist may check to see how the nerves are communicating with the muscles, sensing touch, pain, vibration, or temperature. Reflexes may be assessed as well. --Special Tests - the therapist may perform special tests to confirm/rule out the presence of additional problems. --Posture Assessment - the positions of joints relative to ideal & each other may be assessed." "The therapist will then formulate a list of problems you are having, and how to treat those problems.

A plan is subsequently developed with the patient's input. This includes how many times you should see the therapist per week, how many weeks you will need therapy, home programs, patient education, short-term/long-term goals, and what is expected after discharge from therapy. This plan is created with input from you, your therapist & your doctor." [End website quote] For the second appointment, I saw Bernie, who was professional & seemed to know what he was doing, despite the lack of an assessment from the first visit.

For the third appointment, they pushed it back by one day without contacting me and then claimed the appointment had always been on the later date. I was looking at their appointment card, and it clearly gave the earlier date. I offered to send a photo of the appointment card to them but they declined. As I could not make the later date & they claimed to have no other openings, it got cancelled.

No explanation or apology offered. I've already requested a new PT office through my insurance provider, which requires a new referral from your primary care provider and another insurance provider review/approval. Don't waste your time, energy and money here.

I was recently treated for both a back and neck injury. They did not do a great job or either and would not give me treatments for both on the same visit. It was extremely frustrating and anti-productive. And when I requested copies of my medical reports and billing they gave me an extremely hard time. Never supplied the documents requested! I would not recommend them for your care, not if your goal is Inprovement.

This place does not have good service. Therapies are very short, therapist did not put down correctly about my pain level. The worst part of it, was when I signed and asked for copies of my records expressing its urgent, it took several days and at least 8 calls, and purposely Irina Kaminskaya did not release them till the last minute, the end of the day I needed it. I won't recommend or refer anyone to this place.

Anyone know where Mario is working at now? This place Dr. Kaminsky and especially MARIO saved me from back surgery and my life!

Mario, who was assigned to me at this office by Dr. Kaminsky after my evaluation, was AMAZING! Whereas other places could not help me despite their best efforts, Mario was able to take me out of my shoulder AGONY rather quickly, and he enabled me regain my movement in that arm. His skill set is off the charts, and his demeanor is great. The ultrasound treatments were also helpful.

The rooms were always clean. I honestly thought that there was no hope for my shoulder agony and loss of movement, but Mario's treatments enabled me to stop the months of 24-hour pain pills quickly. I had been to other therapy companies who, while also kind, did not have any of these same skills and treatment knowledge, nor the same equipment, to help at all.

There is literally no comparison. (One place just had me do "crawl up the wall" and other exercises which did absolutely nothing to help.) I feel blessed to have been directed to this place, and I will ALWAYS appreciate Mario for giving me my shoulder - and MY LIFE- back! I give my highest recommendation to Mario, here, at Dr Kaminsky's office --and, the other PT, who worked in this same office, is also very talented and skilled, but I was not assigned to him and cannot remember his name. THANK YOU, Mario -- and Dr. Kaminsky's office -- for everything!

Kaminsky lost his license to practice medicine a long time ago. He was an orthopedic surgeon. He's been reduced to a PT and I can tell you those people claiming to be physical therapist, at his offices, are nothing more than techs. They are not allowed to practice physical therapy nor are they allowed to refer to physical therapy when dealing with a patient. Kaminsky's offices are nothing more than massage parlors with the occasional Chiropractor thrown in for good measure.

As one of the reviewers has mentioned in is post, he should be thrown in jail, however, I would like to add that the insurance companies should be as well. for contracting him.

ZERO STARS! I go to the Wilshire office after being referred here through my insurance. OMG, THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! The amount of calls you receive is borderline HARASSMENT. Kaminsky is a tyrant and I feel bad for all the therapist that work there out of necessity. The girls in the front are rude but I understand why - they are working for a con artist who is only interested in running a puppy mill. One patient after the other with no real attention to what your problem is. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT.

They just want to bill your insurance company not help you! Sure they are nice and personable but in the months I went to them, I never did a single exercise, not even a stretch. It dawned on me a little over half way through that I had never gone in nor had I EVER seen anyone use the exercise room for exercise. Instead there is a table for a patient to get their massage and stimulation treatment. When I ran out of sessions, never heard from them again.

This office is extremely unprofessional and frankly rude. I just got off the phone with a receptionist who told me to "stop with my little attitude" after i asked a question about my insurance. I was so shocked that i literally could not speak. First of all, i dont think there was any attitude on my end i merely read out my Member ID number. There was clearly a mix up with my insurance and any receptionist would calmly react and try to be helpful. THANK GOD there was a mix up because honestly, i don't want to go into such a hostile environment. They do not deserve my business.

This office is so unprofessional. The receptionist talks shit about each person she speaks to on the phone in front of other patients waiting. And by the time that person she badmouthed about gets there, she turns into a completely different person. Jokes with them, and such. I'm not a patient, thank god. I just accompanied a person who went.

But the entire time I was waiting for my person to come out, I was stuck with the unprofessional receptionist who keeps threatening to quit after every phone call. "I'm done with this, I'm quitting." She says it over and over. Go ahead, quit. No one is forcing you to work there. Also that music you play, not appropriate. Play some elevator music, or go to Starbucks and by some cds they got there.

After a client asked her when she was about to do something, she said I'll get right to it. And when she hung up the call, she said "I'm not doing shit, fuck this." And someone said something when they heard her say it, so she apologized afterwards. Why curse in the first place? The guys that work there also badmouth the patients. When the late patient gets there, they joke with them too. What is up with this office? Seriously.

Helped me heal and regain a better quality of life. Everyone that worked with me was professional and courteous. It was always a pleasure to show up for my 42 sessions. I would recommend highly.

Yes I give them a special five stars because my back feels better. Sometimes it feels like it's even more stiff (that's normal) but after a while it loosens up. I too run a small business on appointments and people don't understand how important it is to be on time. The girls at the desk are not rude or aggressive but they are assertive.

I see many, many people happy to come there, because they come on time every week. This treatment will not take the place of surgery but ti works on short term and eventually if I feel better long enough to begin a small work out, and stretching program I won't need to continue the massage and electronic treatment. I have had two hip replacements on both sides, rather 1 each.

They make it possible to walk but even they are now beginning to ache. This treatment helps so much, that I recommend it. I have become more active ( a little bit, ) I intend on going to all of my future appointments and even begin to do more walking and stretching and eating better. The changes take place with greater success when you try to live healthier.

Please be on time and be nice, don't come in pain and take it out on them. Remember everyone is dealing with things so painful they can't even tell you about, so try to be mindful of that and perhaps you will get the support you need to help you heal, you body and your pain. If you know what I mean.

First off, I have to give credit to Mario and Dr. Lee. They are a pt and chiropractor, and really are great at what they do. I came in for back problems. Unfortunately since they brought in the receptionist from the Wilshire location (Ina), (the other girl quit) it's been a very unpleasant experience. She is so rude and incredibly unprofessional.

She really has ruined the experience there for me. Dr Kaminsky treated me once and briefly used an electrical treatment, rubbed some jelly on my back and rushed me through the entire appointment. Was not pleased. Some thing about him seems crooked and the last review I read backs up what my vibes were feeling. The 2 therapists are good, but as for the head Dr. And receptionist its really a place I could recommend any longer.

I was a patient of KamInsky's out of his Los Angeles office on Wilshire Blvd. for the last six weeks. My doctor referred me to him to treat my very painful sciatica. After 10 sessions there is no change in my condition. I do NOT blame this on the physical therapists (Bernie and Dr. Young), who are excellent in what they do, as well as caring and compassionate.

I will miss them, but I cannot return to this insane, chaotic office. The receptionist is a woman named Iyna, the most rude, strident, thoughtless person I have ever met in my life - and that's saying a lot! Under Kaminsky's direction, all she does is book as many appointments as possible to rake in the money. I once had a 12:30pm appointment and was driving to the office, very close by.

At 12:31pm Iyna called me on my cell phone and said, "YOUR APPOINTMENT IS FOR 12:30!" as though I were extremely late rather than one minute late. She yelled at me. I complained to Kaminsky when I got there, and he just makes nicey-nice comments and promises to talk to Iyna. He never did, and her arrogant attitude never changed. To put it bluntly, the woman is hideous. I cancelled all remaining appointments today and will never, ever walk through those doors again. Buyer beware.

This office deserves zero stars. The therapists are nice well intentioned, skillful people who work for a factory, the sole purpose of which is to bill insurance as much and for as long as possible while not helping patients recover from injuries. Everyone who goes there gets an identical treatment plan that involves exactly NO strength training, stretching, no range of motion work. Instead, everyone gets a sweet little massage and a TENS treatment totaling about 25 minutes. I've had PT and OT at other facilities in the past for similar injuries.

Other therapists made me work hard to effect a speedy and lasting recovery. Not these people. Kamisnsky will let your tissues develop scar tissue instead of doing the work necessary to prevent it. They will do you more harm than they will do you good. Don't wast your time with them. Kaminsky should see a prison cell for committing fraud.

I was sent here by a personal injury lawyer who I believe has a deal with Dr. Kaminsky. Dr. Kaminsky evaluated my condition as "severe nerve damage" to my back (although it didn't feel severe at all). Though "severe, " he prescribed 10 sessions of a light massage and electrodes. I didn't feel any difference after the first few sessions. I had to cancel a few of the sessions, and because I'm assuming that didn't look good for my case, the lawyer (who I'm assuming has a deal with Kaminsky) dropped my case, causing me to be liable for the charges for Dr. Kaminsky.

I had no idea that I would be liable for Dr. Kaminsky's charges, and I could not pay them. They were over $2,000. Dr. Kaminsky makes a lot of money selling people's debt to Lloyd Dix at Balboa Collections, as he did with my debt, and those people (many of them do not speak English) are taken to court to get a wage garnishment against them.

This is the most unethical practice, medical or otherwise, I have ever encountered in my life. He makes thousands of dollars off selling victims' (who can not pay him and mostly do not speak English) debt. Please stay away at all costs and see an ethical chiropractor.
