Services
Dry needling and acupuncture are common techniques used in manual therapy to treat pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction. With these techniques, acupuncture needles are inserted in and/or around myofascial trigger points within muscles. The needles can help relieve pain by stimulating sensory nerves within injured tissues. The technique are sometimes enhanced by movement of the needle for greater stimulation of nerves and possible breakdown of scar-tissue.

Dr Sherman made a huge difference for me with a serious injury, ultimately helping prevent the need for surgery. He's incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely a 5 star medical professional.

Over the years I've been in need of seeing a good chiropractor from time to time. As a person who plays sports and exercises regularly (3-5 time per week), I've had occasion to hurt myself or simply cause discomfort from poor practices. This last year, I hurt myself a couple of time playing ice hockey and came in (via a recommendation) to see Dr. Sherman.

I was very pleasantly surprised with his approach, his communication and his skill as a practitioner. Everything was always clearly communicating. All the options were presented at various times and he game me enough information, and while making recommendations, left me in full control of decisions on what I felt best about regarding treatment. He did the background work to figure out my current condition before treatment course was determined, both asking me about important sports injury history and getting examinations of my spine.

He was always extremely diligent with any adjustments, taking a long time and care to be sure the entire musculature frame was properly stretched and relaxed. Often, my back and nerves would simply reset without any jarring adjustments. His diligent use of stretch and massage of the muscles and frame made any other movement almost ancillary, but always effective. Finally, Dr. Sherman was there to make my health the first priority, not the number of treatments or extent of his invoice.

In fact, recently when I returned because of a month long battle with lower back pain, he examined me and noticed that I was walking with extreme pronation. He asked to examine my shoe and quickly noticed the arch support had completely collapsed on my old shoes. He quickly recommended I simply buy a new pair of supportive shoes. In literally 24 hours after wearing a new pair of shoes my lower back was completely well. The point is, he recommended something that was best for me, even though it didn't benefit his practice at all. I appreciate a person with that kind of integrity.

Dr Sherman is very knowledgeable! He explained everything and made me understand why I might be having pain. My hip is feeling more relaxed and pain has decreased after one session. Great doctor! Lyn in the front office was very nice too.

I went here because I had an extreme lack of mobility on one side of my body that had caused me great pain in my neck and traps and had made my body asymmetrical as well. I had severely tight muscles and had seen other "professionals" who performed work on me that didn't help at all and wasted me lots of money. Within a few sessions with Dr. Sherman, my performance in the gym was greatly improving and I could finally do movements I hadn't been able to do in years. He knows what he is doing and I would (and have) recommend him to anyone.

As a later-in-life athlete I found Dr. Sherman while seeking a solution that can keep me in my sport. In the last couple of years he has been a great help both in healing my catastrophic injuries as well as general maintenance. I have also had many similar positive reports from the many friends and colleagues I have referred to him. Highly recommended!

Dr. Sherman is superb at what he does. If you are dealing with a physical injury, I would recommend Dr. Sherman with absolute confidence in his ability to heal. I suffered from a shoulder injury that was giving me constant pain. After visiting Dr. Sherman, my arm began to heal, and each time I returned it got a little better until it was completely healed. I felt no more pain from the injury whatsoever. He is dedicated to healing and giving the highest quality of care.

My experience from scheduling to final session was exemplary. Jessica is thoughtful and kind, and helped me feel comfortable from day one. Dr. Sherman is awesome. I'm not a pro (or even semi-pro) athlete, but was referred by one of my friends who has completed a couple ironman competitions. She said he's the best in the business. I had to do more sessions than he initially thought, but man, my Achilles doesn't hurt anymore and I'm able to run further and faster than before my treatments (which wasn't even my goal-- I just waned the sometimes sharp/shooting, sometimes aching pain to stop).

I did the exercises he recommended as well as allowed my body to recover, while he used tissue massage to promote healing. I'm almost sad to not see the Doc and Jessica anymore but am super happy to feel so great! I completely recommend Dr. Sherman for your sports-related injuries!

Dr Sherman and his staff are amazing. His service is the one I have the most conviction in, because of how helpful he has been with me and friends I've recommended to him through the years.

I concur with everything said in the other review. Dr. Sherman is a special and caring person. If he is not able to help you, he is honest and will tell you he is not able to help.

Dr Sherman and Jessica are the best. Jessica will bend over backwards to make sure you get an appointment, and find you cancelations if needed, she ROCKS! Dr Sherman, is just amazing. I can't say enough good things about him. He is knowledgeable, efficient and attentive. My injury was affecting my ability to do my job and live a quality life.

I was not sleeping due to pain, and suffering in my career due to range of motion and muscle weakness, in just a under a month he has gotten my full range of motion back, 90% pain free, and continues to read what my body is telling him. I leave feeling 100% confident that I will heal. If you have tried other physical therapy or chiropractic services, I strongly recommend you make the switch to Dr Sherman and let your body do the talking.

I've only had one session with Dr. Sherman but I feel 99% better already! I'm no Iron(wo)man by any means, but almost two weeks ago I injured myself at the gym and have been in pain ever since. A massage and multiple ice packs later and the pain is still lingering, so I talk to my personal trainer about solutions. She suggested Dr. Sherman and I set up an appointment for this morning (Nov 30). Dr. Sherman went through my written history with me and both talked to me about the injury and did a few tests to see how my muscles responded.

He practices A.R.T. an acronym that's full name I can't remember but it means moving muscles and deep pressure 'massage' to release spasms. Some of it was painful but most of it felt great, such a relief from the dull pain I'd been living with. He also adjusted my spine in a few places and then used those little electro-stimulating pads on my back to warm up the muscles.

As soon as I stood up I could tell I was on the road to recovery. My neck and left shoulder don't hurt at all and my back is almost entirely pain-free as well. Dr. Sherman is busy busy busy, but I was able to schedule a follow up in the next few days and he says that only 3 sessions will be necessary to straighten me out. I also asked about some ancillary tests and he is going to look into it for me.

Most importantly I feel like he's honest; I self-pay all my medical bills and I don't feel like he's trying to squeeze extra dollars out of my wallet. I'm so happy I can't wait to go back!
