Hi, I'm Sten Ekberg, a doctor of chiropractic who specializes in getting people better quickly by addressing the source of the problem.

If you have had an accident or if you have been physically damaged (cuts, fractures, bleeding etc.) the damage needs to be repaired. Then you need to go to the emergency room. Our health care system excels at that type of emergency intervention.

But in virtually all other cases, where you have a chronic problem or a pain that just gradually developed,(chronic pain, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, cancer etc) the problem is one of functional imbalance.

The only way to change a functional imbalance is to first figure out what caused it, and stop doing that, and secondly to direct the therapy specifically towards reversing the damage that has been done to the body's functional systems.

What we also need to keep in mind is that all function in the body is regulated in some way by the brain and the central nervous system. Therefore if you have a functional imbalance in your body, there is always an imbalance at the level of the brain as well.

Chiropractors affect the brain. The more specifically the doctor can observe the brain function or the indirect results of brain function, the more he or she will be able to help you get better.

Call now if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an appointment.

We take your health very seriously.

Dr. Sten Ekberg

Doctor / Owner

Dr. Ekberg is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic, serving the Cumming community, who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University. He is certified in Body Restoration Technique (BRT), and he was a board eligible Chiropractic Neurologist after only 2 years of post graduate studies.

Dr. Sten Ekberg has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Cumming, GA. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Ekberg is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients. Dr. Ekberg believes that the body is an eco-system with a built-in tendency for homeostasis and health. An eco-system cannot be forced into "compliance" which explains why drugs are never a long-term solution. The body will heal itself if the interference is removed and the deficiency is corrected.

Dr. Ekberg is a former NCAA, div 1 champion and 1992 Olympic decathlete in track and field who has always been interested in finding better ways to do things. After his athletic career he has devoted the last 15 years to finding out how to get closer to the potential of the body and mind. He draws on his vast experience in health and performance to help others enhance their health.

Dr. Ekberg uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Ekberg is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health. His mission is to enhance lives by teaching anyone who wants to learn what health really is and how you can take responsibility for the miraculous Mind-Body-Spirit that is YOU.

I have had trouble with my hips for 10 years after a car wreck. Chiropractor after chiropractor and medical doctor after medical doctor couldn't seem to get the pain to subside... that is until I started seeing Dr. Ekberg. He told me what the issue was and showed me why I wasn't getting better. After 1 month of seeing him he has done what the other doctors could do.

Customer Testimonials

Excellent knowledge. I have seen Dr. Ekberg for pain in my back. Not only the pain now is gone - he also treated me for my cat allergy that I have had since I was a child. And the allergy - running nose and asthma - is to my astonishment and relief gone as well! Dr. Ekberg's knowledge in addressing the cause of a problem exceeds by far regular doctors' who only know how to address the symptoms.

I had been suffering from weakness and pain in both legs for about a year. After hearing a talk given by Dr. Ekberg, I decided to go to him.

I have had 7 appointments so far and my weak legs have gotten stronger, almost back normal. My knees don't hurt when I bend them and my big toe which had been numb for years is getting feeling back in it.

I am particularly pleased because he muscle tests to see exactly what is needed by my body and not just guesses what is wrong. So everything is done as directed by my body, that makes your treatment fast and effective.

I certainly would recommend Dr. Ekberg to anyone.

From Our Website

We look at symptoms and specific body parts, but instead of focusing on them we focus on all of you as a whole person, not just a collection of body parts. We use a holistic approach that emphasizes and teaches patients to take responsibility for their own health, and in so doing is: cost-effective in treating both acute and chronic illness; therapeutic in preventing and treating chronic disease; essential in creating optimal health. This is why we offer a lot of educational classes and videos along with personalizing all our health care to be personalized to you on that specific day be it chiropractic, nutrition, massage, brain entrainment, etc.

Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Wellness For Life Chiropractic emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could. This is one of the main reasons for the big surge in the popularity of our wellness center. For some, Wellness For Life Chiropractic will take them back to a place that is cozy and familiar, offering a rediscovery of health and wellness that had been previously known but long lost.

Whole food supplements have all the nutrients that you get from concentrated and dehydrated whole foods. We use only the best from an organic farm.

At Wellness For Life Chiropractic, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Most people think chiropractors are just back doctors, but there are some of us that do a lot more. We are a med-free holistic chiropractic office practicing functional medicine, functional neurology, clinical nutrition, massage, biofeedback, neurofeedback, and more. Meaning we look at the root cause of health issues because your body is one system, not a bunch of individual parts.

Read or watch video of our awesome patients talking about the service at Wellness For Life Chiropractic. All of these testimonies are from actual patients at Wellness For Life and have not been paid for their testimony. Mr. H initially came in for back pain. Later he mentioned he had heartburn / acid reflux for over 15 years with little relief with medicine. He got immediate relief with his back pain and his acid reflux has not returned because of supplements and chiropractic care with Dr. Ekberg.

Dr. Sten Ekberg competed on the highest level in athletics. The Olympics. This gives him the edge in treating athletes and an understanding that many doctors will not possess when it comes to sports specific sports and body physiology issues. If you have a sports injury or just want to excel in sports chiropractic we will help you to be on top of your game.

Functional Neurology is a holistic approach to healthcare. Traditionally, neurology tends to look at disease of the nervous system as black-and-white with one side being optimal neurologic function and the other being neurological disease such as tumors, strokes etc. Functional Neurology looks at dysfunction of the nervous system as different shades of gray looking for subtle changes in the nervous system before they become distinct pathologies. As a functional neurologist we focus on neurons and the nervous system.

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a manual method that assesses structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using applied kinesiology / manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of diagnosis. AK, a non-invasive system of examining body function that offers individualized health care. Muscle testing is not a muscle strength or muscle weakness test it is a neurological test. Our chiropractors adjust based on applied kinesiology (muscle testing) instead of x-ray like most chiropractors do.
