Born in Toronto, Dr. Finnie grew up in Georgetown, Ontario Canada. He attended Camosun College in Victoria (1984-1986) and the University of Victoria (1986-1988). In 1988 he moved to the United States to attend Palmer Chiropractic College, where he immersed himself in the Erhardt Radiology Program and studied under Russell Erhardt, DC.
Graduating in 1992, Dr. Finnie received a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Early in his life, Dr. Finnie worked as a master drywall finisher, a job that caused repetitive overuse of his neck and back.
