I was seventeen years old, a senior at Allen Park High School, and an offensive and defensive tackle on our football team. It was Saturday morning and my neck was killing me! I had hurt my neck during our Friday night game against Plymouth Salem High. After discussing my health history, doing an exam and taking some x-rays, this chiropractor said that he thought he could help my body function at 100% of it's ability. He said that I had a couple of bones out of place in my spine, and that they were choking off my body's ability to be healthy and to heal itself.

If you know you will be standing for an extended period, make sure that you wear supportive shoes and make sure you know how to keep good posture. Good posture is the key to a healthy spine. Keep your chin up and your shoulders back. Keep both feet about shoulder-width apart. Make sure that you are getting up every 30 minutes to stretch, even if you just walk around for a few minutes.
